WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS!!!
You know what the Phantom Surfers, Mummies and The Makers all have in common? None of them could ever touch the raw fury that is WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS!!! Welcome to the wild and wooly world of this savage group of strapping, handsome young Spaniards. Kids all over Europe have witnessed these borrachos live and are now referring to them as "The craziest band we ever seen" Fueled equally by potent ingestibles and a sincere passion for the big, crude beat of 1966, Wau y los Arrrghs are here to make sure that the party gets started and destroyed in no time flat, in true no-count style.
PRE-ORDER. "Todo Roto" CD Shipping on or about 10/15/13. The 3rd album from Spain’s most savage crew of ‘66 garage-punk worshipping scum of the Earth, WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS!!! This brand new long-playing monstrosity sees singer Juanito Wau, the barely human Rat Fink comic, continuing his long-held reign as the most bugged out screamer on the scene. Meanwhile, and we do mean MEAN, the remaining Arrrghs mutilate the massive, crunched-out riffs of 60s punk’s past (Cuby and the Blizzards and Jacques Dutronc, anyone?) and reconstructs them with spit, snarl and endless piles of fuzz and swirling Vox organ. Impolite, swinging brutality from the grave for the sweatiest go-go gorilla party ever!

Phil Seymour's first album charted well and spawned the hits "Precious to Me" and "Let Her Dance.""2" never charted, but contains songs that are as good as the ones on the first album. "Love Receiver,""Surrender,""Better to Me Than You" and "Talk to Me" could have been hits, if his record company hadn't given up promoting him. Ten bonus tracks make you realize how much more Seymour had to give, after leaving the Dwight Twilley Band and the Textones to go solo. Sadly, he died of cancer in 1993 at 41 years old.

The Shambles - 20 Explosive Hits
In WAV - Covers are included

The Shambles' fifth full-length release is a loving tribute to the classic K-Tel multi-artist albums of the 1970's! “20 Explosive Hits”, is a bit of a misleading title since it gathers 21 prime cover tunes from throughout their career, plus a 4-song medley. With their catalog currently out of print, this is the only way to find them putting their stamp on songs by The Who ("Is It In My Head"), Jeremy ("It's Getting Better"), Squire ("Does Stephanie Know?"), Oasis ("She's Electric"), The Monkees ("Daily Nightly"), The Beatles ("Fixing A Hole"), The Jam ("But I'm Different Now"), The Zombies ("You Make Me Feel Good"), Connie Francis ("Warm This Winter"), The Undertones ("It's Going To Happen"), Ringo Starr ("Snookeroo"), Rain Parade ("You Are My Friend"), The Birds/Eddie Holland ("Leavin' Here"), The Raspberries ("Might As Well") and more! Many of the tracks make an appearance on a Shambles release for the first time, with the whole thing capped off by the band’s infamous “San Diego Medley” live aural compilation of San Diego related hit songs ("In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", "Rhythm Of The Rain", "Meant To Live", and "What Do All The People Know"). The rough medley was taped, off the cuff, at the end of a session at Strate Sound Studios, for FM94.9’s "Pyles Sessions" show, helmed by Tim Pyles. GREAT!!!

The line 'Substitution Mass Confusion' comes from a lyric in the Cars song "Bye Bye Love".

There are many Roky Erickson albums, but The Evil One originally released by CBS Records in Europe in 1980 was the first of them and, many would say the best. Every song is memorable, even from the first listen. From the unnerving opening riff of "Two Headed Dog" to the loud pleas of "Mine Mine Mind", this disc never bores. The guitar playing and backing band are superb and fit the material like a glove. The lyrics cover everything from Satan to zombies and are delivered with Roky's best vocal performance ever. And Roky sounds like he believes every word he sings.

Roky Erickson was founding member and lead singer of psychedelic band, Texas’ infamous Thirteenth Floor Elevators. Erickson explored the far reaches of musical and personal extremes. Following a nightmarish '70s mental-hospital stint that had a devastating long-term effect on his mental health, Erickson's subsequent solo work with his group The Aliens revealed a singularly brilliant songwriter and performer whose talent was no less impressive for the fact that he was singing about zombies, vampires and aliens. The demons that abound in Roky's songs are all-too-real reflections of his own troubled psyche, and the combination of the artist's oddly poetic lyrical constructions and his bracing banshee wail makes it clear, as it wasn't always, that he's not kidding! Don’t Slander Me, Recorded during the new wave era, is a rock and roll album, and quite a good one, but it was out of step with the era and found little commercial success.

There's no telling what state Roky was in when this was recorded (for a live radio broadcast in Houston, 1982), but obviously he enjoyed being on stage. He roars through all his classic tunes -- slamming through "Two Headed Dog" right up to the set's closer, "Creature With the Atom Brain" sounding focused, intense, and scary. He has a band (calling themselves The Resurrectionists)that keeps right up there with him, and it certainly sounds like a perfect match: Jimmy Jones on guitar, Brian Curley from The Delinquents on bass, Carl Giesecke on drums keep on pushing Roky's vocals right to the edge. "Don't Shake Me Lucifer,""You're Gonna Miss Me,""I Walked With a Zombie" are full of spite and menace. For all the less-than-great recordings that trade on Roky's infamy as a cult hero, this is great, loud, into-the-abyss rock and roll.

Even though it’s a re-release of a six-song EP from 1997, this album will surely find it’s place on many year lists, because of the whole bunch of bonuses, and even extra bonuses, adding a brand new musical experience. Like always, The Shambles keep that fine line between being a sixteez revival band and a regular moderndaze act, and therefore fulfiling the desires of both moptop-heads and contemporary power-pop fans, and still digging that recognisable “Graham gouldmines” of no-chorus pop concept.

Inspired and genuine psychedelic hard rock garage swagger blanketed in melody, attitude and the wafting smell of 60s bong smoke. Killer trippy rock with an abundance of hooks and penetrating acid riffs. Sounds like it's straight out of Haight-Ashbury in the best possible sense. Like a combination of Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Asteroid No. 4, Bubble Puppy, Blue Cheer, the Black Angels, the Stooges. It's a black light night!

The Black Explosion - Elements Of Doom is out today

One year after the fantastic debut „Servitors Of The Outer Gods“ The Black Explosion returns with a sensational follow up. Again Chris Winter (ex Dollhouse) succeeded to transfer the spirit of early hard rock into our time.

„Elements Of Doom“ again is an authentic homage  to the most exciting phase in rock history. Heavy riffs, fuzz guitars and a smashing rhythm section – together with the powerful voice of Chris Winter. The Black Explosion quotes heroes like Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath or Hawkwind without being a simple copy.

Also as on the debut, the cover painting of “Elements Of Doom” is an extraordinary work of art by well known French comic artist Riff Reb’s.

A power-pop group from of Oakland, CA. The band is comprised of former members of such Bay Area acts as Limp, Dance Hall Crashers and Waterdog. Soundtrack to a Moment is, top to bottom, one the finest power pop albums to come out in years. Bouchard and his pals are unabashed pigs for harmonizing, which, when welded to the chassis of their punk background, makes for some pretty cathartic stuff. Forget all the buzzwords like genuine and sincerity that are tossed around to keep power pop down in its cult ghetto, and you'll more likely than not find yourself wondering why a song like "Agony" shouldn't be on the charts. Here's to hoping for better days.

Hustler, producer, singer, songwriter, raconteur, bon vivant, and author, Andre Williams is nothing short of a legend. Beginning with his greasy R&B hits "Bacon Fat" and "Jail Bait” for Detroit’s Fortune records in 1957, Andre was well on his way to earning the nickname the “Black Godfather.” Throughout the ‘60s and into the ‘70s, Andre penned songs for Stevie Wonder, Ike and Tina Turner, and Funkadelic, and continued to release songs about (among other pleasures) soul food and illicit sex; greasy platters like "Sweet Little Pussy Cat" and "Rib Tips, Pts. 1 & 2" that would become the essential elements of a catalog known for its decidedly down-low take on R&B. The ‘80s saw hard times for Andre — drugs and booze crippled his career, and the man who had gone on to write hits like “Shake a Tailfeather” and produce a record for Chess and Motown was written off for dead. A small yet forcefully dedicated legion of fans helped push Andre back into the spotlight, and in 1996 he released Mr. Rhythm. This was the first step towards a comeback that would see him become the darling of the raunch’n’roll punk-blues set two years later with the release of Silky, a recording so sleazy that it bordered on the avant-garde, and quickly earned him a new rush of cult followers.

John "Moon" Martin earned his recording contract the old fashioned way; he duked it out in several unsuccessful bands (even releasing albums with a group called Southwind), got his songs placed with prominent artists, and finally found his moment. Unfortunately, he never got the huge break his songs were worthy of. Street Fever contains some of his best songs in one setting.Martin's interesting style, sort of a New-Wave Buddy Holly with rockabilly leanings and a keen sense of pop is at its best when he leans towards his Buddy Holly pop/rock, like "Signal For Help." Martin also self-produced (with Warren Dewey), and his backing band The Ravens were tight as always.Alas, the album sold less than its predecessor, lacking a hit single like "Rolene." All of Martin's albums are hook-laden and filled with good songs.

The Datsuns are a rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand.  In July 2002, after featuring several times on John Peel's programme on the UK's BBC Radio 1 and being hailed as "the future of rock" by the British music press, the band signed with the V2 record label. Their self-titled debut album made a strong impression in the UK, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. Their second album, Outta Sight, Outta Mind, was produced by Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones. However it did not receive the same praise as the first, critics giving it only a lukewarm response. In October 2006, the Datsuns came back with Smoke & Mirrors, heralded as a return to form in Australia and New Zealand. However it was largely ignored by music press overseas.
